Do they victim blame men and boys that get raped too? They should put out ads telling men and boys to be more responsible as well. I bet they would suddenly see the light.
'I get the distinct feeling that professionals and larger structures feel that it is just too hard to target perpetrators so they target victims.' My view is because it is overwhelmingly men and teenage boys who are the ones sexually preying on women and girls the men in political/economic power don't want to even consider this fact! Holding men to account for their choice and agency to commit male sexual violence against women and girls is still a big NO NO can't upset the boys!
Consider the fact no man is ever told 'you must take responsibility for your own safety whenever you venture out into the public sphere and you must ensure you have a chaperone whenever you are walking home late at night!' Ask yourselves why? Why are not men told it is their responsibility to ensure another male or males does not subject them to physical violence?
Answer because even considering this means focusing on men and their behaviours, their beliefs and their pseudo male sex right to sexually prey on women and girls!
Far easier to believe it is women's and girls' responsibility to ensure they have 'their magic crystal ball with them at all times which will tell them that male or males is a danger to them!'
Ugg I’ve noticed this on the comments on social media and news articles all from misogynists claiming women aren’t held accountable for their actions and aren’t taking responsibility for their actions
I’m an Aussie and my skin crawls when I hear the term ‘Life Coach’. I’m a survivor and an advocate for other survivors. I’ve been advocating for justice for over two decades, and trying to awaken the Protestant church to these things. I’ve seen MANY women become Life Coaches. Never have I seen a Life Coach whose work I can respect.
